From fruit and vegetables grown on nearby farms to free-range and organic meat and fresh fish caught that day. There's no shortage of great places to eat and drink in Salcombe and its surrounding towns and villages.


Just a stone's throw from Meadow Barn Farm is the home of Salcombe Gin, where guests can book a range of experiences, or just enjoy a cocktail at their fabulous bar. Other local thirst-quenchers to look out for include South Hams Brewery, Salcombe Brewery and legendary cider-makers Heron Valley.

Places to eat in East Portlemouth

Within walking distance from the farm you can find some great please to eat. Gara Rock is home to a fantastic restaurant with sweeping coastal views, there’s the Venus Café at East Portlemouth and The Pigs Nose. If you fancy a walk with a stop off, The Millbrook Inn is an hour away on foot.

What’s a holiday without an afternoon in a pub and a plate of your favourite food? For those local pubs that serve food, you’ll find The Victoria Inn, The Kings Arms, The Ferry Inn and Island Street Bar and Grill in and around nearby Salcombe.

There are more yummy places to eat in Salcombe then you’ll ever cram into one visit. Some of our favourites include Sailor V and The Winking Prawn cafes, the amazing Crab Shed seafood restaurant or for good coffee and cakes try The Salcombe Yawl.

Places to eat within a 20-minute drive

There are some fantastic foodie favourites just a short drive from the farm. You’ll find Britannia @ the Beach and The Cricket Inn in Beesands, Stokeley Farmshop and The Church House Inn in Stokenham, The Start Bay Inn and The Boathouse in Torcross and The Bear & Blacksmith in Chillington. 


Farm shops

Stock up on delicious locally grown produce and high-quality local meats at one of our local farm shops. Less than 15-minutes drive from Meadow Barn Farm, you'll find two well-stocked stores selling amazing produce as well as freshly baked goods.
